Residence Hall entry information

In order to create an academic atmosphere and prevent theft within the Residence Hall, non-residents are not allowed to enter the Residence Hall.

Visitors should contact the residents first and the residents should come to the front door before meeting visitors.

When entering the Residence Hall, a finger scan or personal password should be used.

  1. 1) Those who enter each dormitory building should identify themselves by using a finger scan or personal password.
  2. 2) Only those who registered their fingerprints are authorized to enter the dormitory building, and accompanying non-authorized people is forbidden.
  3. 3) Unauthorized entry, outside of the main door, is strictly prohibited. Those who are caught doing so will be subject to corresponding penalties in accordance with "Resident Regulations."

Opening (entry) Hours

Pureun Dormitory Buildings(Female) : 5 a.m. ~ 1 a.m.

Yeollin Dormitory Buildings(Male) : 5 a.m. ~ 1 a.m.

Mirae Dormitory Building(Male) : 5 a.m. ~ 1 a.m.

※ However, residents'' entry hours are subject to change if the Residence Hall Director can approve when documented evidence, including laboratory / part-time job confirmation letters, are duly submitted.
※ Penalties for returning to the dormitory late: 1 a.m. - 5 a.m.

Application for delayed return to the dormitory

  • Application for returning to the dormitory by 2 a.m.: Submission of laboratory / part-time job confirmation letters (administration office or My Page (website) ? submission of documents)
  • Others (suspended penalties): Submission of parents'' consent letter for delayed return to the dormitory (administration office or My Page (website) ? submission of documents)
    ※ Delayed return to the dormitory is applied from the day of submission of proper documents.

Dundeok Dormitory Building

  • Door Open hours : (Pureun Dormitory Buildings) 5 a.m. - 23 p.m., (Yeollin Dormitory Buildings) 5 a.m. - 12 a.m. After 12 a.m., entry to dormitory buildings should be made through the entry certification system.
  • Meal hours
    Classification Pureun Dormitory Buildings(Dundeok), Yeollin Dormitory Buildings(Dundeok)
    Breakfast 7:40 a.m. ~ 9:00 a.m.
    Lunch 11:40 a.m.~ 1:30 p.m.
    (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 12 p.m. ~ 1 p.m.)
    Dinner 5:40 p.m. ~ 6:50 p.m.
  • Head count of residents : 11 p.m. ~ 11:30 p.m.
    ※ Delayed return to the dormitory : 1 a.m. ~ 5 a.m.

Gukdong Dormitory Building

  • Door Open hours: 5 a.m. - 12 a.m. After 12 a.m., entry to dormitory buildings should be made through the entry certification system.
  • Meal hours
    Classification Mirae (Gukdong) Dormitory Building
    Breakfast 7:20 a.m. - 8:20 a.m.
    (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 8 a.m. - 9 a.m.)
    Lunch 11:30 a.m. - 12:35 p.m.
    (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays 12 p.m. - 1 p.m.)
    Dinner 17:40 ~ 18:50
  • Head count of residents : 11 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.
    ※ Delayed return to the dormitory: 1 a.m. - 5 a.m.

How to use the cafeteria

Using the entry certification system, eating at the cafeteria is fixed during meal hours. When finger scan is not available, a residence hall card or an entry password can be used instead.
Only a resident can use his or her entry password, while making sure to prevent information leaks.
A residence hall card shall not be rented or transferred to others. When caught, he or she will be subject to penalties (or a warning).
Residents distribute their own food at the cafeteria, while maintaining table manners and orders.

Optional meal types : Choose one among "three meals a day per week," "three meals a day per five days," "two meals (lunch and dinner) a day per week," "two meals (breakfast and lunch) a day per week" and "two meals (breakfast and dinner) a day per week"

Rules to observe in food self-distribution at the cafeteria

  • Try to eat the healthy food of your choice.
  • Try to only get as much food as you can eat, so as not to leave any leftovers.

Application for refund of meal expenses

  • No refund of expenses for skipped meals due to personal reasons
  • Refund can be made for the following reasons:
    • Practical training provided by the university department (submitting an official document no later than seven days before skipping meals)
    • Cross courses (submitting his or her class schedules)
    • Hospitalization (applying for a refund within seven days of checking out of the hospital)

Alteration of meal types

Optional meal types chosen by residents can be altered only once during the course correction period, once each semester starts. (However, optional meals chosen by residents will be applied all at once after the course correction period.)

How to use public facilities

The Residence Hall has public facilities including a study room, information search room, seminar room, laundry room, fitness center, lounge and ironing room, which can be freely used without hampering others.

Use and regulations of public facilities

  • Study room: available in each dormitory building, requiring silence.
  • Laundry room: available in each dormitory building. Use of coin-operated washing machines is permitted after fully understanding how to use them.
  • Fitness center: available until 11 p.m. After using exercise equipment and tools without damage, neatly place them back to where they were.
  • Lounge: available until 11 p.m. Freely watch TV and keep the place clean.
  • Snack bar: for buying daily necessities, food and beverages

For everyone''''s convenience, please notify the security or administration officer of any damages to public facilities.

Visiting hours and staying out overnight

Visiting hours are the same as meal hours. Visitors apply at the security office on the first floor of each dormitory building, and meet the resident(s) at a designated place, such as a seminar room or lounge.
Non-residents are not allowed to go in and out of dormitory buildings. Those who accompany non-residents into a dormitory building shall be subject to penalties.

※ When staying out overnight for more than seven days, notify an administration officer in advance of regarding period and reasons of staying out overnight.
※ Unauthorized staying out overnight for seven days shall be regarded as a voluntarily moving-out of the dormitory.

How to obtain emergency medical supplies

The maintenance or administration office in each dormitory building has some emergency medical supplies that can be used when necessary.

※ Items: Household medicine including disinfectants, band-aids, plasters, bandages, ointments for skin or scars, cotton swabs, cotton balls, digestive medicine, antidiarrheal, antipyretic analgesics, medicine for early cold symptoms and patches

Re-issuance of lost room key

If you lose your room key, notify an administration officer or student resident council of your loss. Make payment to re-issue a room key.
Ask for permission before using an emergency key from the security office.
Please keep your room key and residence hall card with extra caution.
