Eligibility

Those who attend the CNU Yeosu campus, including international students, trainees, graduate school students, students returning after a semester break, transferred students

Move-in Limitations

  1. ① Those who are submitted to disciplinary actions according to school regulations
  2. ② Those who are forced to move out of the dormitory
  3. ③ Those who take one or more semesters off during the residence hall opening period
  4. ④ Those who contract active pulmonary tuberculosis, infectious hepatitis, mental diseases or infectious skin diseases (scabies) cannot be admitted to the dormitory until they are completely healed
  5. ⑤ Those who have a GPA below 2.50 from the previous semester
    (Candidates for prior move-in should have a GPA below 1.75)

Selection criteria

Based on year, department and major of applicants, freshmen are selected according to their entrance exam score and others are selected according to GPAs from the two previous semesters and any existing residence hall penalties.

When the number of applicants, based on year and department, is lower than expected, all the applicants will be selected according to the criteria, regardless of the quota of freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior and the number of people to be accommodated.

  • Resident percentages: freshmen (60%), sophomore (20%), junior (10%), senior and graduate school students (10%)
  • Candidates for prior move-in: residence hall operation regulations
  1. ① National merit recipients and their children
  2. ② Recipients of basic living (low income families) and their children
  3. ③ Students registered as disabled and student council board members
  4. ④ Overseas Koreans and international students (both undergraduate and graduate students)

Documents to be submitted

  • A copy of a letter of pledge to move-in (download the form and fill it out in your own handwriting)
  • A copy of a medical report (print out a medical report from the CNU portal after taking a medical examination at the CNU Health Service Center or receive a medical report from clinics or hospitals in cities or counties for the relevant year)
    ※ Candidates for prior move-in: copies of required documents to be submitted within the period

Application period: all relevant schedules are posted on the administration office''s notice board

  • First semester: logging onto the website in early December to fully understand resident recruitment schedules (including students returning to school soon after a semester break)
  • Second semester: logging onto the website in early June to fully understand resident recruitment schedules (including students returning to school soon after a semester break)
